Meaning:

Evaluates long-term stability of metalworking fluids by simulating real-world circulation, tracking changes in characteristics like phase separation, sediment, color, odor, and performance.

Evaluation:

Phase separation – Observe if water/oil/sediment separation occurs.
Sediment formation – Check for solid residues.
Foaming behavior – Evaluate foam formation.
Corrosion potential – Optionally place metal samples in the system to assess corrosion.

Significance:

Assess formula stability before real-world use
Predict MWF lifespan in recirculating systems.
Prevent real-world issues such as pump blockages, sediment buildup, and odors.
Compare formulas after ingredient adjustments (e.g., emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors).
